Pontesbury and Worthen Medical Practice “Next time you need to ask for repeat prescriptions!
The Medical Practice has listened to the concerns of its patients and are changing the way repeat prescriptions are reordered, to increase accuracy, reduce the call volumes, so improve the communication and reducing waste.
From 25th August 2021 when you collect your regular monthly prescription you will be asked to book the repeat 7 days in advance – details are in letter issued with prescription.
If you can, the best way to do this is through the NHS App or if not able the use that then use the repeat prescription form, issued with the last prescription, can be delivered into the special repeat prescriptions box at either Worthen or Pontesbury. If neither of those work for you then please contact the Practice.
When the prescription is ready, you’ll get a text message to tell you to pick it up. If you can’t receive text messages, then contact the Practice see below.
The Practice’s goal is to make the service the best it can possibly be, and this new system is designed to make that happen. The Practice is asking for you to help them with this change, and by doing so giving community the best service they can.
The NHS App (not the track and trace) can be found at www.nhs.uk/nhs-app/ - you then set up the App to be connected to the Medical Practice
